Two paths, one lens.

An award winning filmmaker who understands sport from the inside. A former elite triathlete and national level mountain biker who worked as a performance analyst on the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup circuit. He knows what pressure looks like, and what matters when the noise drops away.

Before filmmaking he spent years as a consultant geomorphologist, mapping landslides across Scotland and Ireland and leading river restoration projects, work that gave him rigorous project management and analytical thinking most filmmakers do not have. He holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews. For over two decades he has built his craft as a cinematographer, editor and colourist, working on BBC documentaries and with British Cycling and Scottish Rugby among many others.

More than ten years in sport consultancy, athlete management and strategic event delivery, leading high profile, multi stakeholder projects that combine commercial value with social impact. He managed more than twenty elite athletes across rugby, cricket, golf and athletics, negotiating contracts and building commercial partnerships, including testimonial years for Dawid Malan and Richard Wigglesworth.

He was project lead for the 2024 Cateran Yomp, the 54 mile Highland endurance challenge that raised close to £600,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund, directing operations for 1,250 participants and 150 staff. He brings a cool head to high pressure projects.
